"It was the best six hours I've spent learning about what is available in Spokane. I am definitely recommending that everyone I know come and take advantage of these amazing trainings." Experiences gained from these workshops equip teachers with the knowledge to share with students as to why their classes are important. We want to provide awareness of industry careers and training opportunities for a new generation of workers. The collaboration between business and academia is crucial for the success of the region.
A typical workshop will tour both a local business and a higher education facility. This provides an interactive experience and allows an opportunity for networking that benefits all the parties involved. With businesses opening their doors to teachers it affords the chance to show off the work being done right here in Spokane, while also communicating to teachers the type of workforce expected and needed from our students.
