June 6, 2012 - Three of PepsiCo’s Mountain Region beverage sites have announced the selection of a new location for the consolidation of its North Idaho and Eastern Washington distribution centers and regional operations. PepsiCo is a global food and beverage leader that makes hundreds of enjoyable products, including Pepsi-Cola, Mountain Dew and Gatorade. Greater Spokane Incorporated assisted PepsiCo in obtaining $50,000 in incentive funds from Governor Gregoire’s Strategic Reserve Fund, which will be used for relocation assistance. From the Central Business Park: Bruno Teixeira, Asset Manager for the CBP: "We wanted to see PepsiCo bring the consolidated operation, and the jobs it provides, to Spokane Valley. We knew that our central location and class A facility were perfectly suited for its eastern WA distribution center. The City of the Spokane Valley has also been a great partner in helping to facilitate the permitting process for the building improvements." PepsiCo will move into a space that includes an on-site management team; low operating expenses; concrete tilt-up construction with a modern steel roof; 28 - 31 foot clearance; a recently installed T8 sensor controlled efficiency lighting system throughout and a total of 57 doc-high doors with load-levelers. The Central Business Park is located at 11606 E. Montgomery Drive in Spokane Valley. |
