Greater Spokane Incorporated (GSI) will host its Annual Legislative Forum and Reception on Tuesday, Nov. 22 from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at The Davenport Hotel.

A panel of state legislators will discuss their work heading into the Special Legislative Session, which begins Nov. 28, as well as the Supplemental Legislative Session which begins in January.

The panel includes prominent leaders in each party and a representative from the governor's office:
  • Senator Lisa Brown (D-Spokane)
  • Senator Mark Schoesler (R-Ritzville)
  • Representative Richard DeBolt (R-Chehalis)
  • Representative Larry Springer (D - Kirkland)
  • Jim Justin - Legislative Director to the Governor
Dick Davis, a syndicated columnist and President of the Washington Research Council will moderate the panel.

The panel discussion will be from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., with the reception following until 7:00 p.m. GSI will also release its State Agenda to attendees at the forum.

With the state budget in the spotlight, attending this forum will give the business community the opportunity to gain insight and ask questions in order to better prepare their businesses.

Panelists will discuss how the legislature might address the budget, K-12 and higher education funding, transportation and more.
