(Spokane, Wash.) - The Armed Services Committee of Greater Spokane Incorporated (GSI) will host the 55th Annual Armed Forces Persons of the Year Awards Luncheon April 19 at 11:30 a.m. at The Doubletree Hotel. Lieutenant General Dana T. Atkins will be the keynote speaker.

Lieutenant General Atkins is the senior military officer in Alaska responsible for the integration of all military activities in the Alaskan theater of operations. He has commanded a fighter squadron, an operations group, two fighter wings, and served as Vice Commander, 7th Air Force and U.S. Air Forces Korea. He was also a member of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Demonstration Team.

The Armed Services Committee of GSI organizes this event each year to honor the outstanding achievements of the men and women in all branches of military service.
