(Spokane, Wash.) - The Inland Northwest Aerospace Consortium (INWAC), an industry group supported by Greater Spokane Incorporated representing regional aerospace companies from Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho, launched a new Web site today. The new site at www.inwac.com provides a forum to help connect aerospace companies with customers and opportunities for business growth. The site includes events, news, a regional aerospace directory and a section about INWAC's Manufacturing and Services Network (MSN). The regional directory is a great resource for local businesses and for companies from outside the region to learn what capabilities exist in the Inland Northwest. Each entry includes contact information, capabilities and aerospace certifications that are critical differentiators when companies are considering market expansion. INWAC companies provide products and services to all sectors throughout the aerospace industry, and are dedicated to positioning aerospace as the premier industry in the region. "INWAC members have been working together for four years to put out the message that Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho are great places for aerospace business opportunities," said Mike Mooney, Procurement Manager at Triumph Composite Systems. "We are also trying to emphasize that the current aerospace industry in this area is very highly developed and is a great complement to the aerospace industry in Western Washington. This new Web site will greatly aid us in these efforts." The INWAC MSN group includes aerospace manufacturers and service providers who are pooling their sales and marketing efforts to promote their combined services and capabilities to the aerospace industry. These companies have a central contact that provides responses on Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and general queries about capabilities and services. "The INWAC MSN group is working hard to bring more manufacturing jobs into the area by pooling their joint business development resources together," said Mike Marzetta, President of Altek, Inc. "And the new INWAC Web site is a great asset and convenient centralized hub for realizing that goal." The Inland Northwest is home to more than 60 manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and organizations related to the worldwide aerospace industry. Growth in the aerospace industry sector is one strategic priority of Greater Spokane Incorporated. About INWAC INWAC has more than 60 members and includes companies from numerous sectors of the aerospace industry. For more information, visit www.inwac.com. ABOUT GREATER SPOKANE INCORPORATED ###
