Delegates Advocate in D.C. on Behalf of Spokane Region Healthcare, the region’s push for a four-year medical school, transportation, Fairchild Air Force Base, Higher Education and Workforce are among issues that have been presented this week in Washington D.C. during the annual Greater Spokane Incorporated Washington D.C. Fly-In. The trip is a culmination of collaborative efforts between five Chambers in Eastern Washington/Northern Idaho that have worked together to identify strategic priorities important to the entire region. The delegation is presenting the FY 2011 Federal Agenda. Successes from last year’s trip totaled nearly 9.5 million dollars. Leaders from the region's chambers (Coeur d'Alene, GSI, Greater Spokane Valley, Post Falls, and West Plains), elected officials, and business leaders are meeting with Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho senators and representatives, the Small Business Administration, and the Pentagon.
