Large Downtown, Coordinated Buy Local Event this weekend

Eighteen local businesses have joined forces to bring the downtown core a huge coordinated, BUY LOCAL event this weekend.  Held on Friday April 30th and Saturday May 1st, this is a large coordinated effort between the locally owned downtown merchants to provide a fun event for visitors for the Bloomsday weekend as well as all our local shoppers.  It's more important than ever to support local businesses, which support our local community and how impressive is it to see all these local businesses supporting each other.

Bloomsday weekend is a gathering of individuals with the same mission - to make it up the hill,  finish and claim success!  That is the same mission of local businesses in our community.  Shop Outside the Box in downtown Spokane is a Buy Local effort to bring like minded individuals into the fabulous small businesses in downtown Spokane, not only locals but all the visitors as well.

Shop Outside the Box encourages our community and visitors to warm up for Bloomsday by walking downtown on Friday or Saturday and into the participating stores.  These locally owned businesses are participating in this coordinated event:

Our goal is simply to get people out walking around downtown and enjoying our community and locally owned stores.  Spokane has wonderful, locally owned boutiques to rival those in cities like Portland and Seattle and we'd like to introduce Spokane to the concept of "Shopping Outside the Box".
