B&O Tax Simplification Bill Moves Through State Legislature Print E-mail

Senate Bill 6176 and its companion, House Bill 2490, are making their way through the state legislature. Both bills reflect Governor Gregoire's proposal to simplify the B&O tax process. 

The bills would force all B&O taxes to be collected by the Department of Revenue, much like sales taxes. This would result in savings in time, money and frustration for employers, according to Enterprise Washington, a business advocacy group.
