The Biomedical and Health Sciences Building at WSU Spokane is in good position at the state legislature, as it is on the list of big projects for the state. Finishing the building depends on whether the state government passes a major bond package, according to The Spokesman-Review.

Last year, WSU Spokane received $35 million - about half of what is needed to complete the building. Greater Spokane Incorporated brought a large delegation to Olympia last week to advocate for the remaining funds.

Working in WSU Spokane's favor is the fact that the building is on both the House and Senate lists. The state will need to sell bonds in order to receive the funding.

Greater Spokane Incorporated will continue to advocate for this project.
