Governor Gregoire Calls for Transportation Package Print E-mail
nscGovernor wants to invest $3.6 billion into transportation.

During her State of the State Address, Governor Christine Gregoire announced her request for a $3.6 billion transportation package.

The governor said the ten-year package would create 5,500 jobs. To pay for the package, Gregoire said she'll ask the legislature to increase some fees, such as $100 more to electric vehicles and a $1.50 fee on each barrel of oil produced in the state.
