Agreement includes funding for projects at Fairchild Air Force Base.
The House of Representatives passed the Fiscal Year 2012 Omnibus conference agreement last night, avoiding a government shutdown. The $1 trillion agreement passed the House by a vote of 291-121. The bill will head to the Senate and President Obama is expected to sign it. Included in the agreement were two major projects at Fairchild Air Force Base. The Survive, Evade, Resist and Escape (SERE) School will receive $14 million in upgrades, and a new Wing headquarters building will be built with $13.6 million. GSI takes a delegation to Washington D.C. each year. This past April, our delegation advocated for these two projects. Dig deep into the Omnibus bill here. |
