news_for_webResults from the U.S. census leaves citizen board seeking public input about council boundaries.

Based off the population distribution findings, the City’s Decennial Districting Board will hold three community meetings to decide how to act based off the public opinion.

The Decennial Districting Board has eight months after recieving official receipt of the 2010 Census data (recieved in April) from the State Redistricting Commission to prepare a redistricting plan.

 

 


The community meetings will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on:

  • Tuesday, Oct. 4, at the West Central Community Center, 1603 N. Belt St.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 5, at the East Central Community Center, 500 S. Stone St.
  • Thursday, Oct. 6, at the Northeast Community Center, 4001 N. Cook St.
