olympia_capitolWashington Policy Center is hosting a conference for small business members to attend and create recommendations for legislature in 2012.

The WPC Small Business Conference will begin with a continental breakfast, followed by a keynote speaker at lunch. During the luncheon there will also be a panel of business media, including Bill Virgin of Seattle Business magazine, Al Scott of the Puget Sound Business Journal, Kim Crompton of the Spokane Journal of Business and John McDonagh of the Vancouver Business Journal .

Interactive sessions will offer individuals a chance to discuss topics such as:
  • Health care reform
  • Workers' Comp./ unemployment insurance
  • State budget and tax issues
  • Regulatory reform
  • Department of Revenue streamlining/ consolidation of B&O taxes
  • Technology and social media for your business
  • Human resource issues- mandatory paid sick leave
  • Export/ import and immigration
