Northwest Museum of Arts & CultureNearly $3 million allocated to save the museum in 2011-2013 biennium.

Spokane's Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture (MAC) will remain open for the next two years thanks to almost $3 million of state funds.

The MAC originally had its funding cut in a prior proposal from the state, but elected officials moved money to the state's Heritage Center fund. The source is something the MAC can't tap into in two years.

The money allocated for the next two years is about a five percent cut from the current funding level.
