Special Session Ends Next Wednesday Print E-mail
Chris GregoireOperating and capital budgets still need to be voted on.

With Washington's special session set to end next Wednesday, many are left wondering if the legislature will end on time. If not, another special session would be needed to solve the state's budget. Governor Chris Gregoire has stated that she does not want a second special session.

House members were called back to Olympia and will work over the weekend. The Senate reportedly has a similar schedule.

The main issue points are Workers' Comp reform and debt reduction. Both drive the passages of the operating and capital budgets.
