Governor Allocates $3 Million to Aerospace Training Print E-mail
Washington AerospaceMoney will help train workers to learn the skills they need.

Governor Chris Gregoire directed $3 million to help nearly 500 workers learn the skills they need to assemple airplanes. The money is part of the Workforce Investment Act, and Gregoire had discretion on how to spend 10 percent of the money.

About $1.6 million will be used for training. Another $1 million will be used to buy equipment, classroom space and other materials.
