No 2012 Presidential Primary in Washington |

State will save $10 million, while cacuses will still choose candidates.
There will be no 2012 presidential primary in the State of Washington. The decision by Governor Gregoire to approve a bill that would skip the primary will save the state $10 million.
The two state parties will continue, though, to rely on caucuses to choose candidates. Secretary of State Sam Reed indicated he likes the primary system better because it draws in more participation.
