$35 Million in State House Budget For Medical School Print E-mail

The Washington State House of Representatives released its 2011-2013 budget today, with $35 million tagged for the WSU Spokane Riverpoint Biomedical and Health Sciences building, which will be home to a four-year medical school and the College of Pharmacy. The estimated cost of the building is around $70 million. The remaining money - if not included in the final budget - will be asked for in the next budget.

The state Senate is expected to release its budget in the coming weeks.

Also in the House budget was $30 million for Patterson Hall at Eastern Washington University, and $20 million for Spokane Falls Community College.
