Washington Businesses Help Relief Effort in Japan Print E-mail

Governor Gregoire spoke about the generosity of Washington business last week:  “We want to challenge all of us — particularly all of us who have families and friends and do trade with those in Japan — to open up our checkbooks and open up our hearts.”

Japanese Consul General Kiyokazu Ota responded graciously. “The incredible outpouring of support in response to this disaster is very touching. I am very glad to know I can call on Washington in times of need,” he said.
