Contact Your Legislators in Support of the MAC Print E-mail

macGreater Spokane Incorporated (GSI) has posted a letter of support for the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture on its legislative web site.

The Governor’s proposed budget for the 2011-13 biennium aims to close the MAC due to the state’s fiscal shortfall.

The MAC, operated under the authority of the Eastern Washington State Historical Society, houses the Campbell House and the Inland Northwest’s largest art and history collections, exhibitions, and historical records.  It’s funded by the state of Washington, grants, private donations, memberships and exhibit sponsors.

GSI encourages businesses and individuals to contact legislators on issues that impact them, their business, and our community.  The “Your Policy Voice” site gives citizens an easy way to communicate, connect and engage with elected officials on important policy decisions.

GSI’s policy web site contains a prepared letter of support for the MAC.  With a simple push of a button, citizens can inform state senators and representatives the need to continue funding the Museum as well as the State Historical Museum in Tacoma.

More information and the MAC letter can be found on the web site at www.yourpolicyvoice.org or directly here.  For more information about Greater Spokane Inc. visit www.greaterspokane.org.
