| D.C. Trip Right Around the Corner |

Representatives from the Coeur d’ Alene Chamber of Commerce and the Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce will join us on the trip. Although they won’t join us on the trip, the Post Falls Chamber of Commerce, and the West Plains Chamber of Commerce helped draft our regional agenda, and both are represented.
Our top priorities include the development of a full, four-year medical education at the Riverpoint Campus, constructing the North South Corridor to the Spokane River, and staging the first KC-X Tankers at Fairchild Air Force Base.
This annual trip provides our region with the resources needed to improve the economic vitality of our region. The resources that we advocate for at the federal level are carefully vetted by our Federal Legislative Advisory Group (FLAG), and approved by GSI’s Board of Trustees. The projects on the Federal Agenda, inclusive of the City of Spokane federal legislative proprieties serve as guide for congressional representatives to the priorities of our city and county. Stay tuned for our FY 2012 Federal Legislative Agenda.

In less than six weeks (April 5, to be exact), GSI and its delegation will arrive in D.C… and we’re ready to advocate for our regional priorities.
