GSI Launches Policy Website Print E-mail

policy-portal-launchedNew GSI website engages business community and allows public to weigh in on legislative issues.

Greater Spokane Incorporated (GSI), the region’s Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Council, launched a new Web site that gives members of the business community an easy way to connect and engage with local, state and federal elected officials. GSI presented the site at today’s Good Morning Greater Spokane event.

YourPolicyVoice.org allows users to submit their policy issue to GSI for its advocacy efforts and provides an easy way for users to submit letters to elected officials regarding a certain issue or project the business community may be advocating for. Site users can also access GSI’s current state agenda and in-depth information on the legislative process, congressional committees and more.

“This new site allows our membership and the public to have a strong voice in issues related to them and their business,” said Rich Hadley, President and CEO of Greater Spokane Incorporated. “What goes on in Olympia, and what goes on in D.C. affects every business. Our hope is that this site becomes a valuable resource for everyone.”

Engagement and partnership is crucial to our community’s success. The launch of this site coincides with the start of a new legislative session. GSI, its community partners and more than 80 business leaders will travel to Olympia on Jan. 26 to advocate for funding for Spokane regional projects.

Community engagement and business feedback has always been an important piece to the legislative process. YourPolicyVoice.org allows for GSI and our elected officials to better understand what issues the business community sees as barriers to remaining competitive.
