- Historic Fenwell Building to Host Raw Space Event
The Fernwell Building is proud to be host sponsor for the Raw Space exhibit uring the upcoming Visual Arts Tour. Raw Space is an artist-organized exhibition, which transforms vacant space into temporary art galleries showcasing new, emerging and established artists from our communitiy. The Raw Space exhibit will be featured throughout the Northeast corner retail space of The Fernwell Building. Participants in the event will have the opportunity to view and purchace works by local artists, while viewing one of Spokane's premier retail spaces. - People to People Donates 5K to Second Harvest
People to People Ambassador Programs, a leading educational travel organization based in Spokane, recently donated $5,000 to Feeding America, the Inland Northwest branch of the hunger-relief charity formerly known as Second Harvest. The donation is expected to help supply three meals a day to 200 families of four for a one-week time span. More at http://www.peopletopeople.com/
- Evening of Enchantment
March 6, 5:00 - 8:30 p.m., Northern Quest Resort and Casino "The ultimate WA wine and beer tasting experience" will be held in the new Kalispel Ballroom and 100% proceeds will go to the Relay for Life, part of the American Cancer Society. - Washington Policy Center Opens Eastern Washington Office
The Washington Policy Center has opened an Eastern Washington office in Spokane. Chris Cargill will be working here and traveling throughout the region. Celebrate the Kick Off Reception on February 16 at 5:30 p.m. at The Davenport Hotel. More at www.washingtonpolicy.org
- Learn a Snow Sport
January is officially "Learn a Snow Sport Month!", a national effort organized by the snow sports industry to get families and friends outside this winter to try new activities and stay in shape. Locally, all five of Ski the NW Rockies’ resorts (Silver Mountain, Schweitzer Mountain Resort, 49 Degrees North, Mt. Spokane and Lookout Pass) are offering a variety of programs for children and adults who want to learn a snow sport or improve their skills. Last year, this program attracted 20,000 children and adults nation-wide to learn alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. - New Hotel Opening Dec. 31 Northern Quest Resort & Casino’s new 250-room hotel and spa opens its doors on December 31st, 2009. The hotel features sophisticated technology and a world-class spa experience in an urban lodge environment. The Resort and related infrastructure represent an investment exceeding $200 million, creating an economic bright spot in the region.
The hotel’s opening is creating 325 new jobs, bringing Northern Quest Resort & Casino’s employment to approximately 1,675. The Resort spends over $800,000 monthly in goods and services. With a total of over 2,000 jobs across its government and business enterprises, the Kalispel Tribe is one of the top employers in the region.

- North East Community Center asks for your vote
Vote for your favorite 501 (c) 3 organizations on Chase Community Giving's Facebook account. Chase Giving will announce, on February 1, the top 5 organizations that will receive $1 million grants plus $100,000. Go to Facebook and search for Chase Community Giving. You'll need to sign up as a fan of Chase(as in banking) Community Giving then searchy for us as North East Community Center Association(the space between North and East needs to be there) and vote! You can share all 20 of your votes with us or divide them among your favorite organizations. Then ask all your friends, relatives and associates to do the same.
- Cancer Patient Care Receives Donation
Medical Oncology Associates, has donated $100,000 to Cancer Patient Care. Dr. Chaudhry challenges the community to step up and give as generously as they can. "We are very grateful to Dr. Chaudhry and Medical Oncology Associates, and all our supporters - small and large donors” says Cliff Evans, ED, Cancer Patient Care, which has seen a 70% increase in requests for financial aid and support to cancer patients compared to last year.

- Ambassador Programs Teams Up With Habitat for Humanity
Seventy employees from Spokane-based People to People Ambassador Programs will be working with Habitat for Humanity on nine home project builds tomorrow. The building projects will take place at 1600 E. Boone in North Spokane and will produce a five-plex and two duplexes - part of People to People’s efforts to give back to the Spokane community.

- Imprezzio Welcomes New Team Members
Imprezzio Solutions recently added two new members to our Spokane team. Michael Gerety has joined our Marketing division as a Customer Support Technician, and Jack Collins has begun Software Project Manager duties for our large corporate accounts.
