There is an abundance of year-round events and festivals that take place around the Spokane region.There is an abundance of year-round events and festivals that take place around the Spokane region.  Here is just a sample:

Lilac Festival: In May, Spokane celebrates spring with ten days of activities including the Armed Forces Torchlight Parade. The parade features members of the armed forces and local high school bands marching through the streets of downtown Spokane. Hundreds of parade floats fill the streats from towns across the region.

Pig Out in the Park: Held annually over Labor Day weekend in September in Riverfront Park, this five-day celebration signals the end of summer with 50 hours of free entertainment, 45 food booths and numerous vendors.

Green Bluff Growers is an association of small farms and food stand.  With more than 35 farms to visit, there is plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as seasonal activities and festivals, music and crafts.

Artfest takes place each June in Spokane’s historic Brown’s Addition neighborhood.  Vendors displaying arts and crafts as well as variety of food vendors and musicians entertain participants.

Silverwood Theme Park is the Northwest’s largest theme park boasting two of the region’s largest roller coasters, over 60 rides, games and attractions. The recently opened Boulder Beach water park features a wave pool, slides and kid-friendly water park.

Valleyfest is held each September at Mirabeau Point Park in the city of Spokane Valley. This event provides the opportunity to have fun with friends and family, and to meet and have fun with neighbors. Valleyfest also recognizes area youth for their talents.

Riverfront Park hosts many events each year, including the annual 4th of July fireworks show.
