Spokane International Airport, code GEG, is a 4,800-acre commercial service airport served by ten airlines and three air cargo carriers. The airport processed nearly 3.2 million passengers and 57,000 U.S. air cargo tons in 2006. It is the second largest airport in the State of Washington and recognized by the FAA as a small hub. Recently, the Spokane International Airport has undergone millions of dollars in capital improvement projects including a new 264 ft. air traffic control tower. Located on the scenic Spokane River, Felts Field, code SFF, is a 400-acre general reliever airport that is home to over 320 aircraft and forty-nine tenants. Spokane Airports are jointly owned by Spokane County and the City of Spokane. Spokane has two distinct and financially independent facilities, including Spokane International Airport and Felts Field Airport.
