Caterpillar Logistics Services, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar inc., opened a half million square foot parts distribution center on Spokane's West Plains. 150 people are currently employed at the new location.

June 2012 - PepsiCo consolidated its three northern Idaho and eastern Washington distribution centers in the Central Business Park in Spokane Valley.“Central Business Park was the best choice for meeting the space and size demands of our business in the Mountain Region,” said a PepsiCo spokesperson. Bruno Teixeira, Asset Manager for the CBP added: "The City of the Spokane Valley has also been a great partner in helping to facilitate the permitting process for the building improvements."

August 2011 - American Tire Distributors expanded in the City of Spokane Valley with a new 110,000 square foot distribution center warehouse in the Spokane Business & Industrial Park. "The Business & Industrial Park has an excellent location with great I-90 access and dual rail service by both UP and BNSF," says Dean Stuart, Director of Marketing for the Park.
