Last year, Caterpillar Logistics Services, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar inc., annnounced plans for a new half million square foot parts distribution center on Spokane's West Plains.

Plans are underway for a new certified site designation which will ease the way for continued growth in the area.

Also in 2011, American Tire Distributors expanded in the City of Spokane Valley with a new 110,000 square foot distribution center warehouse in the Spokane Business & Industrial Park.
