Greater Spokane Incorporated provides data on the cost of living of Spokane compared to similar cities.The Spokane region continues to have a very competitive cost of living.

The ACCRA Cost of Living Index (COLI) measures regional differences in the cost of consumer goods and services, excluding taxes and non-consumer expenditures, for professional and managerial households in the top income quintile. Greater Spokane Incorporated, in partnership with Eastern Washington University, collects data for the Index.

The average for all participating places each quarter equals 100, and each participant's index is read as a percentage of the average for all participating places.
