On July 22, Greater Spokane Incorporated partnered with local Aerospace organizations to present an Aerospace Teaching the Teachers Workshop to the educators of Spokane.

The first stop was Absolute Aviation. Absolute Aviation’s Vice President, Al Gaar, gave a wonderful presentation that allowed each teacher to be paired with an employee and actually work on a project with them for a little bit!
The next stop was Empire Airlines. At Empire Airlines the teachers were able to tour the airline hanger and see the inner workings of the mechanics, pilots, technicians and administrators. They even got to go in the cockpit of one of the aircrafts!

After Empire Airlines the group headed out to the Spokane Community College’s Aviation Maintenance Program located at Felts Field. They received a mini tutorial about the typical curriculum of the program and were given a full tour of the learning facility. It was a very fun and enlightening workshop. The teachers and the businesses had a wonderful time and learn a lot!
