Teach the Teachers - Culinary Workshop Print E-mail

Educators from several of our region’s school districts gathered on April 23, to attend the first Greater Spokane Incorporated’s Culinary Arts and Hospitality Teaching the Teachers workshop. The first stop was at Anthony’s Restaurant where General Manager, Frankie Dietz, and her staff spotlighted different positions such as budgeting, purchasing, public relations, personnel management, menu planning, reception, kitchen, store, security, and accounts. Next, the educators received a guided tour of the Davenport Hotel and Hotel Lusso by Kelli Groves, HR Director and Chef Bryan Franz. The tour also included resume building and leadership skills discussions. At last, Julie Litzenberger hosted the afternoon portion of the workshop at the Inland Northwest Culinary Academy (INCA). She gave the educators an overview of the academic programs that are offered at INCA and a walk through the academy’s facilities.
