Greater Spokane Inc. and Partners Launch InlandBizStrong Business Resources Navigation Tool

(SPOKANE, Wash.) – Greater Spokane Inc. (GSI), the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce (GSVCC), the West Plains Chamber of Commerce and the Spokane Independent Metro Business Alliance (SIMBA) – under the regional InlandBizStrong initiative – today launched a digital tool to help businesses determine which local, state and federal programs are available based on information they select for their business.

“There is a vast array of resources, relief and assistance at the local, state and federal levels to assist businesses in mitigating the impacts of the COVID-19 emergency,” said Alisha Benson, CEO of GSI. “We appreciate the complexity of the response and want to help individual businesses connect to resources they need.”

Local small business Night Fox developed the platform. Avista was the supporting sponsor of the project. “A key part of our regional recovery is the health and stability of our businesses,” said Latisha Hill, Avista VP, Economic and Community Vitality. “Through the InlandBizStrong initiative, we saw an opportunity to advance this by making resources more manageable for businesses. With the launch of this digital tool, we’re proud to be a supporting partner in helping our communities overcome the impacts of the COVID-19 crisis.”

After answering several demographic questions about the business, the tool will:

• Provide a customized list of federal, state, and local resources relevant to the user’s business.

• Save a business’s survey results (via Google or Facebook). • Send any new resources available directly to the business.

• Allow businesses to complete a survey for each individual entity owned. Each business can take multiple surveys and retrieve results at any time.

• Provide a private-results URL to share through email.
